Eugenics is a study or research and it is a belief for the possibility to improve the human species quality to avoid genetic defects and encourage people to have positive traits.
Gene editing:
Gene editing used in research, specific gene sequences replaced in human embryo for understanding embryonic development. It suggests that inactivated genes in the future responsible for replacing healthy genes. It is approved in human fertilization ane embryology, but it can not be used for reproductive use, it is used to change the DNA cells to understand biology work. example: Modify human cells in the human body for healing cancer.
Germline editing:
It is a process in which the genome of individuals edited and change is heritable. It can be done through genetic alteration in the reproductive cells or germ cells. In germline editing scientist deal with improvement by manipulating the genetic structure of an organism to change its function. Example: Changing single or multiple genes in the human and observe how the human body is affecting health. incase of HIV and cancer, it cures some diseases.
Difference:
Gene-editing making changes in cells that affect the human body alone, it is not hereditary.
Germline cells that create embryos that are reproductive cells, we can make any alteration in the cells to avoid affecting future generation or disease.
