In what way are T-cell receptors and immunoglobulins similar, in what ways are they different?
Difference between the T cell receptor and immunoglobins
T cells receptor is an integral membrane protein that are present in the T cell and help in the activation of Tcells when they are exposed to antigen whereas immunoglobulins are Y shape protein that is used by immune cells to recognize and bind to antigen. It means T cell receptor is only present on T cell whereas immunoglobulins are produced by plasma cells.
Similarity between the T cell receptor and immunoglobins
Both T cell receptor and immunohlobins get activated when exposed to antigen and bind with it and kill the pathogenic antigen.
In what way are T-cell receptors and immunoglobulins similar, in what ways are they different?
Describe the differences in the ways that antibodies and T cell receptors are genetically coded for and formed so that they recognize the antigen for which they are specific.
1. List and describe at least 6 different ways in which genetic diversity in immunoglobulins arise. 2. Present a scenario of infection in which you can describe the differences in cellular activation, cytokines, etc. in T-Dependent and T Independent antigens scenarios. 3. Describe three ways in which complement acts to protect the host during infection. Identify specific molecules/ convertases and their contributions to the immune response.

In what ways is eukaryotic replication similar to bacterial replication and in what ways is it different? Similarities Differences Answer Bank uses polymerase semi-conservative replication requires a primer number of origins of replication uses helicase telomeres genome shape location within the cell
Different receptors can have the same effect on a cell because all receptors converge on the same signal transduction cascade. True False • Previous
7) In what ways are hormones and neurotransmitters similar to and different from each other 8) You are crossing the street and see a car coming very fast and you need to get out of the way. Explain the flight or fight response and be as specific as possible in your answer.

List and describe at least 5 different ways in which genetic diversity in immunoglobulins arise. Describe three ways in which complement acts to protect the host during infection. Identify specific molecules/ convertases and their contributions to the immune response. Complement activation can occur via the classical, alternative or lectin pathway.
