Bacteria are a form of disease causing microorganisms. So working with and around it is a major source of infection and making a person sick.The main reason for disinfection of work place before and after working with bacteria are

• To prevent infection
• Reduce or kill the pathogenic microorganisms
• To prevent transmission of microorganisms from one point to other or from one object to other
• Disinfection prevents the growth of new bacteria again in the place
• To reduce the occurrence of diseases
• To improve the quality of care and providing report from a laboratory where bacteria are handled on daily basis by the laboratory technicians.
