As the local hospitals are struggling financially it is a great decision to merge for improving profits and productivity, while reducing overall expenses. While it is good for business, in some cases it is not good for employees. With merger and acquisition comes the requesite lay - off, leaving many employees worried about their positions or change in the culture of the institute / company.

Both the hospitals need to keep in mind the employees with knowledge and in- demand skills with experience and hard working nature are to be continued / remain as their employees and to merge as one there is no need of more employees. As union of both can limit the number of employees.

Hospital 1&2 merging as 1

Director - 1

Deputy director -1 ( The merger hospital -2 director)

Department supervisor -1

Transcription supervisors - 2

10 coders ( elected employees from both hospitals 1&2)

15 transcriptionists

6 assemblers /analysts

2 ROI clerks

3 incomplete records

6 file clerks

1 cancer registrar

The election of the employees from two hospitals can be made together and employed as one team.
