Answer #1

1. He should receive clearance. As long as he's followed the correct rehab guidelines and exercise protocols, he can get back on track. After thorough physical assessment ( example: using a treadmill at various intensities), he can resume running marathons. However, since the past history is significant for heart attack, medical assessment is necessary.

2. Golf is not a physically taxing exercise per se. She is young, has had no significant medical problems in the past, thus she doesn't need clearance. She will benefit from beginning HIIT training or any form of aerobic exercise which will lead to fat loss so that her BMI is in the healthy range.

3. According to the history, the person clearly has a cardiovascular pathology. He needs to undergo clearance. Recommended exercise is treadmill test.

4. Yes, she will need medical clearance before participating. Even though the walk is professionally organized, given her medical history she needs at least one medical consultation.

5. She does not need medical clearance. She can start her physical training as and when she pleases.
