What is the most likely cause of post-operative urinary retention.
Post operative urinary retention is one of the major and common complications of a surgery and anesthesia. The drugs used for anesthesia often causes a hindrance in the contraction & relaxation of the bladder muscles & nerves resulting in the loss of sensation of a filled or overfilled bladder.
