Anyone involved in the informed consent process should comprehend the concepts of understanding, voluntariness, disclosure, and comprehension. Understanding means that a consent form must be presented and written in a language which the subject understands. Why is this concept important? What are some issues that may arise with this concept?

Answer: The informed consent contains all the information regarding the procedures as well as the the treatment process. The language should be easy and the client can understand because it is important for the client to know about all the procedures and process. After reading and understanding the concept, the client sign on the informed consent.

Some of the issues may arise if there would be language differences that may be the procedures that are going to be used is not acceptable by the client. Client may not ready for the treat process etc.
