A person is pulling a block up a ramp with a string. If instead the tension in the string was 44.3 N, and the block's mass was 12.3 kg, then find the work done by the tensional force acting on the block if the block went up the ramp by 0.6 m instead. Assume that the ramp is at an angle of 35.6 degrees from the horizontal instead.

Answer #1

here,

the tension in the string , T = 44.3 N

mass of block , m = 12.3 kg

s = 0.6 m

theta = 35.6 degree

the work done by the tensional force , W = T * s

W = 44.3 * 0.6 J

W = 26.58 J
