Any reaction between acid and base will lead to the formation of salt and water. For the above reaction, H₂SO₄ is an acid (Sulphuric acid) and Na₂CO₃ is a base (Sodium carbonate) leading the formation of sodium sulphate (Na₂SO₄) along with the formation of byproducts such as CO₂ (Gas) and H₂O (liquid)

Total Ionic equation

2H⁺ (aq) +SO4^2- (aq) + 2Na⁺ (aq) +CO₃^2- (aq) $\rightarrow$ 2Na⁺ +SO₄^2- (s) + CO₂(g) +H₂O (l)

Net Ionic equation
