Caspi et al. state that many criminologists have been critical of previous research linking personality traits to crime, citing certain methodological problems with such research. These problems are really hard to tackle the issues and finding all the ways to solve out properly. Below mentioned is the number of issues/problems that arises at the time of citing certain methodological research and that affect the research report on criminal careers:

  • Observational approaches contain the number of errors that may limit the accuracy of criminal records
  • Self-reports includes the problem of conduction of survey summary and analytical errors that further decrease the level of recording cases of crime
  • Misclassification is a type of uncertainty occurring at the time of happening any event or case

Evidence With MAOA-L Caspi et al (2002) . More than twice as Longitudinal study of 1,037 children over 25 years likely to have a conduct disorder as those with the MAOA H gene. Three times more . Males severely maltreated as boy:s more likely to engage ikely to be convicted in violent behaviour as adults. of violent crime by 26 years.

  • Various type of features recorded in the self-reports are totally biased and doesn't justify any case law
  • Official records also an important approach but contains so many errors that affect the accuracy of any criminal's offerings
  • classification errors also a part of official errors that classify the local agencies to justify errors
  • The reported number of case laws are not yet recorded in the officials and stands as a nonrecording justice
  • Various sampling issues are also created to raise the number of errors in criminal records.
  • the main issue with the sampling approach is a time gap between handling the case and recording the case law

Caspi et al. can overcome the number of errors that are occurring in way of recording the crimes. And it can solve out all the issues that are already registered in the journals. The main work to achieve this target is to proper research of the documents and thus such comparisons will permit to an assessment of errors in the criminal records. Models of individual and group offending can be measured by the journals and identify the issues occurring and tackle them accordingly.

Write a reflective paragraph summarizing your thoughts. Organizational change research has been criticized for neglecting the role of history in the study of change (Pettigrew et al., 2001). Much of the existing research tends to treat organizational change as “episodic” and comprising of independent events (Pettigrew, 1987, p. 655). More generally, research in organizational behavior has tended to ignore the theoretical and methodological significance of context in the examination of work attitudes and outcomes (Johns, 2006). In the studies reported...
