2. When the timer overflows it rolls over and keeps counting more. Over flow means it has reached its limit value.

5. Resolution refers to the count of pixels displayed in a screen .

I) press f12 to get advanced menu options .

II) use up arrow to select an required options.

6. The timer modes are

I) mode 0

II) mode 1

III) mode 2

IV) mode 3

Timer 0 and 1 works as a 8 bit counter in mode 0 . Timer mode 1 is commonly used and it is 16 bit. Mode 2 counters are automatic reload. Mode 3 is known as split counter .
