India is a developing country which one of the fastest growing economies in the world expected to overtake Germany to become the world's fourth largest economy by 2022. The Modi government has taken extensive steps to further accelerate growth while simultaneously taking concrete steps to improve the living standards. It was formulated a team under the aegis of Niti Aayog which is a group of expert policymakers advising the government on the reforms to be undertaken to ensure that the country achieves its goal of complete literacy and universal access to Healthcare. The Niti Ayog has formulated a three year Action Plan which Hindi to measure transformation across the nation in every important developmental factor.

The plan intense to double the income that farmers obtain which is extremely important considering the fact that they constitute almost 50% of the countries workforce and is a major segment contributing to the GDP of the country. Another initiative is to target unemployment rate and control it below 5% along with utilising all workforce optimally along with optimisation of compensation. Productivity and output is a major concern as due to unemployment a job requiring a single labourer is performed by 2 or 3 leading to wastage of human resource and compensation below par. The government has undertaken an initiative to attract numerous manufacturing units owned by global companies to address this problem. The Modi government has realised the importance of equality infrastructure for promotion of the economy as well as improvement of facilities and quality of life. This is late to the government undertaking extensive projects for improvement of interconnectivity by Roadways, Railways, Airways and waterways. The prime minister has also undertaken a digital India initiative and greatly ramped up the digital infrastructure with Internet access being made available in millions of villages across the nation. He has used every possible strength to leverage India as a global power with an important role in the future of the world. The government has also insured that no region is discriminated against or neglected and development is equal across the nation by dividing it into four key geographical areas on the basis of Physical features. The government has also greatly facilitated trade and given a much needed boost to the economy by reducing Red Tape and extensive paperwork with resultant delays for all applications. Wherever possible most applications and certifications have been digitised. The private sector has been provided representation in policy making and the major disadvantages of Bureaucracy controlled. The Judiciary has also not be inspired from long do reforms to tackle large volumes of pendency.

The country is poised to become the world's youngest country with the largest available workforce by 2030. it is however essential that this workforce have the required skills and abilities to be able to meet the industry and economy requirements at a level of quality compareable to global standards. The government is also targeted Healthcare and is taken extensive measures for ensuring quality Healthcare is available to all by providing Health Insurance for families living below the poverty line at minimal rates. It is also given a major push to the Indian system of Ayurveda and yoga to bring about the required shift from curative health care to preventive.

One example of progress is protection of the environment and recycling has been a major issue with 20 of the world's most polluted cities being from India. This problem has been addressed by the Niti Ayog with various measures such as encouraging use of public transportation and introduction of Diesel and electric vehicles gradually beginning from all government institutions. It has provided a machine at subsidize rates for using plant crop residue for the next crop to avoid farmers burning the crops and creating smog. It is also undertaken extensive river linking afforestation as well as river cleaning projects. A major initiative of the government is the swachh Bharat campaign which includes providing clean environment across the nation to prevent spread of communicable diseases and create a clean and healthy nation. Included a mandatory tax across the board for cleaning up the nation along with all public areas including roads in railways and is insured that it keeps its promise of a clean and green India for future generations.
