Ans 1) a) Though religious ethics are strong by itself, but some practises need to be alter with the changing times, one can not carry that same old method of practising traditions, hence questioning each time is essential. b) By questioning we may get rid of non sensical age old things and would invent something new which can be very useful for the community. For e.g. leaving the rigidity of caste or creed and coming together for serving the nation or solving the common citizen's problems.

Ans 2) Mill focused on quality of pleasures, he stated on higher and lower pleasures. He stated that intellectual pleasures are higher pleasures whereas sensory pleasures are lower pleasures.
