Hi,

Ionic bonds are bonds that form between ions with opposite charges. For example, positively charged sodium ions and negatively charged chloride ions attract each other to form sodium chloride or table salt.

Atoms become more stable is by sharing electrons (instead of winning or losing them completely), thus forming covalent bonds. These bonds are more common than ionic bonds in the molecules of living organisms.


Knowing the above,

These compounds are formed by sharing electrons (metal + metal), so they are MOLECULAR:
- NF3
- BaF2
- CH4


And on the other hand, the IONIC compounds, create an electronic cloud (metal + nonmetal) such as:
-NaBr
