Some species of the insects spent their whole life in aquatic environment as a part of life cycle in water and For some of them, the eggs, larvae and pupae develop in the water, while others live in mud along the shoreline, some adult bugs flies one environment to other environment of water to lay egg.

Opt:A) some insects whirligig beetle,bugs flies etc were live in aquatic environment .So this not a correct answer.

Opt: B) and C) were not be a best answer because most of the insects lay eggs in water but not stay their entire life in water or aquatic environment.

Opt: D)a few hundred or so​​​​​​​ insects were live their entire life in aquatic environment some of the life in water and some of the life in aquatic environment.
