2. Explain The three goals of green computing

Answer)

The three goals of green computing are

a) Developing more energy efficient computers. If computer can save power it means that it saves electric energy which in turn saves our environment by producing lesser energy. If high electricity is required then uses of different material to produce electricity are harmful.

b) Recycling the computer hardware. If too much computer wastes are produced it will harm our environment and society, so if we recycle the computer parts so there will lesser chemical waste which will save our environment.

c) Use of ecofriendly chemical to produce computer parts. If more ecofriendly raw materials are used to make computer hardware then it save our environment. We should try to develop computer hardware where materials used in those hardware are not harmful or toxic to the environment.


3. Describe the role of the central processing unit and primary storage.

Answer)

The role of the central processing unit is used to store the data in RAM and retrieve the data from the RAM and execute the instructions given. It also check the decision that what type of action it will take for execution, like if it is mathematical execution the it will send the information to ALU(Arithmetic and logic unit).

Role of Primary Storage(Random Access Uit) i.e holds the data and applications which are executed or executing during the computer is on.
