1. In the long run, busing helped Boston because it desegregated the school system, provided equal educational opportunity for minority students, and set the stage for racial healing and an improved racial climate in the twenty-first century.

B- The busing issue in Boston lead to violent in "April 5, 1976 as Theodore Landsmark a black lawyer was attack going into the City Hall Plaza by a gang of white youths. He was beating and kicked and eventually stab with the pointed end of a flag pole with the American flag on it".

The effect of white flight caused a "situation of urban decay making housing more affordable, the fall in housing values and exit of white high income households decreases the tax base. Consequently, low-income minority communities are left devoid of resources such as good schools, libraries, infrastructure, and police forces and employment in Boston".   

The busing in Boston damage the quality of the public school system by passing a law that allowed charter schools in Massachusetts. The state was the first to allow such a law in 1993. Some charter schools declined to participate in lower-income friendly programs like school-subsidized lunches. The best students usually go to the charter schools due to the rigorous application processes and score higher on test that make the public schools look bad. A report by Boston Public School March 2016, "of the 77,841 school age children living in the city of Boston, about 21,390 (27%) don't attended public school in Boston. 45% are Black, 30% are White,18% are Hispanic,4% are Asian and 3% other. In the city of Boston, 9618 children are enroll in charter schools which is the most out of Parochial, Private, Suburban, Special Education, and Home schools"

The segregation issue in Boston schools still existed today it's not base on race along. The middle and upper class blacks family now prepare for their children to go to charter and private schools to increase their chance for success. Which I cannot blame them, but this leave out both white and black low income families who cannot afford this luxury. This action intern creates a different type of segregation based on wealth.
