Answer - The development of vocabulary is crucial to the development of literacy because with the help of a good vocabulary we can express our views in a proper manner . Vocabulary broadens our perspective of expressing our views on various issues . A good vocabulary opens our mind and we are able to express our views the way we want in the best possible .
Following are the strategies for practising vocabulary words -
1) A person should use various words in his day to day communication so that he becomes used to using these words in his daily life .
2) A person should copy ten - fifteen words and revise those words daily. So , he learns new words daily . A person can also watch English news channels and watch English movies etc. to improve his vocabulary .
For kindergarten class , effective strategy would be to make them learn new words through poems , short stories etc . We can also make these children play various games which involves exploring one's vocabulary .
