The total magnification for each lens setting on a microscope with 15x oculars are-

MT = 15*4=60x

MT = 15*10=150×

MT = 15*45=675x

MT =15*97= 1455x

The limit of resolution is decreased as wavelength is decreased.
Hence a smaller value for D means greater clarity of the image

a shorter wavelength will produce a clearer image, but wavelengths shorter than 360 nm are not in the visible portion of spectrum and can't be used to make an image detectable with human eyes.
