The fit between the ERP consultant and the company conducting the project is very important. As when companies hire ERP consultants they have to deal with lot of things and have to made lot of changes in managerial procedures, culture of operations and change in current techniques, software customisation, etc. It is important to hire that ERP consultant that can fit with the company's culture so the project can be a success.
Yes, it is important for the consultant to respect, value and understand the institutions's culture. As ERP brings lot of modifications and customisations in the business process of the company, as consultant one should be expert in change management so that he can bring changes just to have good integration and not forcing the changes on workforce only. They should respect the company's value and culture as well and should bring the change effeciently.
