Answer #1

Unit testing is conducted not to evaluate the efficiency of the program but to check the functionality.

Developers are needed to perform unit testing by which they can know whether

1. the program behaves they way it should

2. there are any errors in the program

3. the input and output formats are as expected.

4. any exception is occuring and many more.

The efficiency of the program is tested in performance testing and not in unit testing.
