Answer #1

1. Given that calcium is moving out of the cell where it's solution is hypertonic that means calcium is moving outside the cell opposite to its concentration gradient. It's well known that in order to move any molecule opposite to its concentration gradient we need to provide some energy. So it's answer will be primary active transport.

2- glucose is moving from its higher concentration to its lower concentration. So the answer will be simple diffusion.

3- same as the case of the first one. Here sodium concentration is more outside the cell and less inside the cell. Still sodium molecules are moving outside the cell using the ATP. So the answer will be primary active transport.

4- hypotonic solution of water means the solution has less amount of solute as compared to the outside environment. So water has to move outside to make the solution isotonic. So the answer will be Osmosis

5- given that Estrogen moves from inside the cell where it has high concentration to outside the where it has lower concentration so its a simple diffusion that will drive the movement of Estrogen outside the cell.

6- Given that calcium is moved out of the cell and to balance the charge imbalance sodium is moved inside the cell. It's a so the answer is secondary active transport - antiport.

7- serotonin is moving inside the cell and sodium is facilitating its import along with its transport inside the cell. So the answer is secondary active transport - symport.

8- glucose is moving from its higher concentration to its lower concentration. So the answer will be simple diffusion
