Discuss the meaning of the standard error of the estimate. As you collect more data, do you expect that this standard error will increase, decrease, or stay about the same? Explain how you came to this conclusion.

Standard Error of an estimate is the standard deviation of the sampling distribution of that estimate. That is if the estimate is following some distribution, the standard deviation of that distribution will be the standard error of the estimate. For example

If X ~ N(8.02) and let X be an estimate of θ Now since X ~ N(0,-) 7t standard Devaition(X) or the Standard Error of X = Vm

Now clearly as in above example as more data is collected ( or as "n" increases), The standard error of estimate will decrease.
