Think of a time you have had to make a decision in a group. Explain the situation by illustrating the advantages and disadvantages of group decision making. If it was effective, why? If it was not effective, describe the techniques you would use to improve it.

As a part of our job , we often work with teams for projects where we need to take a lot of decisions. These decisions regarding the project are to be taken as a team and for this unity among the team members is the most important factor. Team decisions would include opinions of all the members so every flaw can be identified and better decisions could be derived. However when a team gets involved, somewhere we might need to compromise with some issues that needs to be addressed and this would create problems in the later phases of the project . There is always a danger of conflict when being involved in decision making . But team decisions are mostly effective as the decisions would be a combination of opinions and ideas where various skills and experiences come together to take that decision . Hence the decision taken is effective and gives effective results.
