In cell exposed to the respiratory toxin antimycin A , coenzyme Q ( Q/QH2) will be in the reduced state.

As antimycin A disrupts the flow of electrons from cytochrome b to cytochrome c in complex III, cytochrome c can be reudced but not oxidised.
