How does long term potentiation relate to both learning and memory? please be through in your response defining any major terms that you use in your explanation?
Neurons are the nerve cells which makes up the neural network. Any object, event or situation needs our attention for it to be first observed and then remembered. On being exposed to a visual field, the neurons fire and stimulate the visual spatial cortex to rememeber the image. The information is then transferred from one neuron to the other at the synapse. This causes long term potentiation at the synapse which results in the storage of information in the long term memory. There are evidence which suggest that a part of hippocampus is responsible for the storage of information.

7. Episodic and Semantic Memory are both “declarative" forms of long-term memory. Which is more resilient in later adulthood, and why? (Be specific about depth of processing) By "depth of processing” I mean any facet of memory where greater connectivity is achieved (neuro-cognitively). 8. Briefly describe the principles of “Selective optimization with compensation,” (without using any of the three terms) and discuss how ONE of the following is a factor: Socioeconomic status Metacognitive reasoning Hint:...
Memory Chapters (5-7) What is memory? How does it work? Why is it important? What are its uses and functions? Try to generate answers and explanations to these questions ustng the concepts we discussed in lecture and in the book (and listed below). Thinking about and eaxplaining answers to general questions such as these can help you identify what you know and understand and what you do not. It can help you organize the concepts, elaborate on them, and relate...
Describe how is machine learning and how does it relate to AI in improving your organisational value chain performance
2. Long-term Potentiation is a process that strengthens the transmission of a single synapse in a circuit. This is achieved when pre-synaptic cells and post-synaptic cells fire action potentials at the same time. Usually multiple pre-synaptic cells synapse onto one post-synaptic cell, increasing the probability of inducing an action potential in the post- synaptic cell. You may need to refer to your textbooks or online resources for this question, as we do not cover this in explicit detail in class....

QUESTIONS How does chunking help us retain more information in memory? It increases the capacity so that we can remember far more than 7 plus or minus 2 units of data. It allows for faster consolidation of new memories so that they become more rapidly rooted in long-term memory. It combines individual data points so that we can remember 7 plus or minus 2 groups of information more efficiently. It helps to offset the natural occurrence of both proactive...
