Answer #1

1) oxidation occurs at copper electrode

2) Half reaction at anode

Cu(s)\rightarrow Cu 2+( aq) + 2 e-

3) Half reaction at cathode

2Ag+ (aq) + 2e-\rightarrow 2 Ag(s)

4) E 0Cell= E0cathode - E0anode  

Here E0 cathode= 0.0 V then   -E 0Cell = E0anode =- 0.45 V

5) E0anode = E0 cathode -  E 0Cell

= 0.80 - 0.45

= 0.35 V

6) net reaction in cell

Cu(s) + 2Ag+ (aq) \rightarrow Cu 2+( aq) +  2 Ag(s)
