To solve the problem use the relation given below.

concentration of solution 1 * volume of solution 1= concentration of solution 2 * volume of solution 2

concentration of solution 1 = 6.7% (m/v)

volume of solution 1 = 550ml

concentration of solution 2 = 23% (m/v)

volume of solution 2 = ?

substituting the values on equation we get :

6.7% * 550 = 23% * V2

There for V2 = (6.7 * 550) / 23

= 3685 / 23

= 160.22 ml

160.22 ml of 23% glucose solution is needed to prepare 550ml of 6.7% glucose solution.

Here concentration is given in (m/v) mass by volume %.It is the mass of solute dissolved in 100ml of solution.
