Draw context and level-1 data flow diagrams representing all of the details of the system described in the following narrative. In drawing these diagrams, if you discover that the narrative is incomplete, make up reasonable assumptions or explanations to complete the story. Draw your diagrams using Visio and submit your Visio files using the designated dropbox folder. Fresh Supermarket aims to build a new Point-of-Sales (POS) system where cashiers can use to handle check-out and which would allow store managers to generate sales reports. What follows are the processes and requirements that have been identified. When a customer arrives at the checkout counter, a cashier scans product items. The system reads the barcodes of the product items, and then the information about the products is retrieved by the system based on data stored in a product file. The product information is presented to the customer as a summary of order. Once the customer reviews the order summary and provides payment information by swapping a credit or debit card, the system verifies the payment information by connecting to an external credit/banking verification system. Once the payment is confirmed by the external system, the purchases made are stored in a sales file and this data is also used for generating a receipt for the customer. During check-out, customers may choose to donate $1 to a local children’s hospital and this goes through the same payment verification process. The donated money is then sent to the local children’s hospital. Lastly, the system generates sales reports using the data stored in the sales file and sends the reports to the sales manager
