when FeCl3 dissolved in water it will ionize into

FeCl3 ------------------> Fe3+ + 3 Cl-

therefore each mole of FeCl3 will produce 4 moles of ion (1 Fe3+ and 3 Cl-).

therefore total number of ions in 7.88 x 1019 formula units =

7.88 x 1019 + (3 x 7.88 x 1019) = 7.88 x 1019 + 23.64 x 1019 = 31.52 x 1019 moles ions = 3.152 x 1020 moles of ions.
