no of moles = Molarity x volume in liters

here M = 0.5 and V = 2L

moles = 0.5 x 2

= 1 mole

part C

no of moles = weight / molar mass of sucrose

= 342 / 342

= 1 mol

this is one mol and he has given one mole

so total 2 moles

A solution of concentration 1 mol/L is also denoted as 1 molar (1 M)

Molarity = 2 / 1 litere

= 2M
