A group becomes a team when:

(1): The group of people who are joined for achieving a common goal have to achieve the goal in a stipulated period. When this happens the group becomes a team.

(2): When individual leadership gives way for shared leadership. If this happens then the group becomes a team.

(3): When individual accountability gives way for collective and mutual accountability. If this happens then the group becomes a team.

(4): When complementary individuals skills makes gives way for random and varied individual skills. If this happens then the group becomes a team.
