Neucleotides are the basic unit unit of DNA. Nucleotides are phosphoric acid esters of nucleosides. with phosphate at the position C-5. the nucleotide can have one, two or three phosphate group designated alpha, beta and gamma for the first, second and third respectively.

Neucleotides are found primarilt as the monomeric units comprising the major nucleic acid of the cell, RNA and DNA. however they are also required for other important functions within the cell.

The nucleotides are the basic unit of nucleic acid. Therefore nuclic acids are also called as polynucleotides. Nucleotides are the phosphate esters of the nucleosides and made of three components

1. a base that has a nitrogen atom

2. Afive carbon sugar

3. An ion of phosphoric caid

On the otherhand the aminoacids are the basic unit of proteins which are made up of an amino group, a carboxyl group, a hydrogen atom and a distinctive side chain, all bounded to a carbon atom, the alpha carbon

the structure of aminnoacid is common to all aminoacids except proline. The R group or side chain attached to the alpha carbon is different in each amino acid. amino acid can act as acids or bases when dissolved in water.

The job of DNA to form a genetic code for the organism and translate the code into the function. DNA is important for inheritance, coding for proteins and the genetic instruction guide for life and its processes.polynucleotides are formed by the condensation of two or more nucleotides. the secondry structure is the three dimensional structure of the polynucleotide strand or strands. For the DNA, the most important secondry stucture consists of a double helix held together with a hydrogen bond. The Three base pair compostion forms a codon and make one amino acid. The amino acids forms peptide by making peptide bond between the amino acids. The amino acids forms the protein allow it to do many biological fuctions.
