This is about ERD.

Question:

The Gotham Buildings Department (GBD) is a city agency that tracks all the buildings within a metropolitan area in the northeast United States. The GBD maintains data about the location, size, and construction date of each building. It also keeps track of specific renovations made to each building over time, and also demolition of a building, if that occurs.

For each building, the GBD keeps data about the building's lot number, which is unique, the building name, address, size (in floors and square footage), the owner's name and address, and the mortgagors' names and addresses. An owner may be an individual, a partnership, or a legal corporation. GBD also records whether the building has an elevator and is handicapped-accessible.

GBD also tracks building renovations through permits that are granted to contractors. In order to get a permit, a contractor must be registered with GBD. GBD keeps track of each contractor's contractor ID, name, address, phone, and email. GBD also requires contractors to provide policy numbers for both their workmen's compensation insurance and liability insurance.

Read the problem description carefully before starting. I have included some clarifications and suggestions that might help you make some decisions as to how to approach the problem:

1) Owners: Assume that there is one owner per building, but owners can own more than one building;

2) Mortgagors: Assume that there can be more than one mortgage on a building, and that mortgagors

typically hold mortgages on a number of buildings;

3) Renovations: Over time, there may be several renovations to a building. Also, contractors will work on many renovations over time.

TASK: You are to develop and submit an entity-relationship diagram (ERD) for this case. You should do the following:

a. Draw the UML E-R diagram for this enterprise, including the attributes for each entity;
b.Identify all possible relationships;
c. Identify the connectivity (in other words, the cardinality) for each relationship;
d.Identify the mandatory/optional dependencies (in other words, the optionality) for the relationships; e. Identify any weak entities;

f. Resolve all M:N relationships.
Also, specify any additional assumptions you made in designing your diagram on a separate sheet.

Help me how to do this.
