Answer #1

Administering personality tests gives them the opportunity to assess a person's personality or inner behaviour. About how that person might react to a specific stimuli in the real world. Also it tells them about any personality disorders present in the person.

After they receive the results, it is compared along side with how that person has acted during his life, his/her reactions to certain stimuli. Comparing the test result with the background of the person can point to underlying issues in that person and will make diagnosis much more easier and specific. Specific diagnosis means the psychologist can right away move forward to therapeutic sessions as suitable.
