Ans 1. Concept of Scientific name- a name used by scientists, in term of taxonomic name of an organism that consists of the genus and species. Scientific names usually come from Latin or Greek.

The first part of the scientific name (genus) is written in capital letters and second part is written in small letter, normally scientific name written in Italic letter (both) if not so underline both genus and species.

Importance of Scientific name- scientists have given each recognized species on earth its own scientific names to uniquely identify them of avoid confusion, also each organism scientific name is same in all over the world, its maintain the standard and provided systematic and categorized information about organism.

Ans 2. Agrilus planipennis- is a green buprestid beetle native of Asia region, they feed on ash species, female lay eggs in bark on ash trees, larvae feed bark of ash trees to emerge as adults in one or two years. Common name- emerald ash borer

Vibrio cholerae- gram negative, comma shaped bacterium, caused the disease cholera. Common name- as same as name

Toxicodendron radicans- poisonous flowering plant, found in Asian and North American region, causes Urushiol-induce contact dermatitis, common name – eastern poison ivy

Geomyces destructans- also known as Pseudogymnoascus destructans, filamentous fungi, causes skin lesions disease also known as white-nose syndrome. Common name- psychrophilic (cold loving fungus)

Neogobius melanostomus- is a euryhaline (adapt to a wide range of salinities) bottom-dwelling goby, native of central Eurasia. Common name- Round goby
