True or False: The linear oscillator's period is measured by averaging over ten cycles. Explains Why True or False?
linear oscillator is the oscilation where the system has only one degree of freedom.
now consider a pendulum for example.
its time period is given by T=2*pi*sqrt(l/g)
where l=length of the pendulum
g=9.8 m/s^2
let the length of the pendulum be 0.5 m.
then time period=2*pi*sqrt(0.5/9.8)=1.4192 seconds
as in any measurement, human error is unavoidable upto certain extent and in this case, we have to determine the starting and end point of a single complete cycle accurately, error is bound to show up in time measurement.
hence by taking multiple measurements and taking the final value as average of all the measurement values, we will be able to decrease the error magnitude to an acceptabale value.
hence usually 10 or 20 oscillations are taken and then average time period is used for further calculations.

1. True or False. If true, explain why. If false provide a counterexample. . If A? - B2, then A - B (you can assume that A and B have the same size). • If columns 1 and 3 of B are the same, so are columns 1 and 3 of AB. • If rows 1 and 3 of B are the same, so are rows 1 and 3 of AB. • (AB) - A’B?
(True or False and explain why) If vector u is a linear combination of vector v and w, then w must be a linear combination of u and v.
True or False: The cost of borrowed capital during the construction period is generally amortized over 15 years.
Hysteresis effect explains fluctuations in the natural rate of unemployment. True or False? Explain.
State whether the following statement is true or false, and explain why. If the statement is false, state the true change. If the national economy shrank at an annual rate of 9% per year for four consecutive years, then the economy shrank by 36% over the four-year period. Choose the correct answer below and, if necessary, fill in the answer box to complete your choice. The statement is false because each year there is a different reference value. The economy...

TRUE/FALSE. Explain why the answer is true or false. 3) True or False: Assume that a species has a diploid chromosome number of 24. The term applied to an individual with 25 chromosomes would be triploid. 4) True or False: Inversions suppress crossing over by providing a chemical imbalance because of breakpoints within certain genes. e or False: Individuals with familial Down syndrome are trisomic and have 47 chromosomes. 6) True or False: An...
Is the following statement true or false and why? 1. Corporations have a distinct advantage over other forms of business organization in the area of taxation.
1. True or False: Non-linear quality constraints can never be rewritten as linear constraints. 2. True or False: Every optimization problem with linear constraints is a linear programming problem.
True or False: Pasteurization uses high temperatures over a period of 5-15 minutes to sterilize, and therefore preserve, food. Gram positive bacteria in the lag phase of their growth curve are the most sensitive to penicillin. Bacteria that tolerate high concentrations of NaCl, up to 10% are halotolerant.
