Answer #1

1) molarity = (W /MW) (1000 / V in mL)

molarity = (14.0 / 142) (1000 / 250)

molarity = 0.394 M

answer = option 5 = 0.394 M

2) Ca(OH)2 + 2HCl ---------> CaCl2 + 2H2O

1 mole Ca(OH)2 reacts with 2 moles HCl

0.500 moles Ca(OH)2 reacts with 0.500 x 2 = 1.0 moles HCl

M = n /V

V = M / n = 0.250 / 1.0

V = 1.0 L

answer = option 4 = 1.0 L
