A female is a carrier (unaffected) and she has children with an unaffected man, and they have a boy. What is the percent probability that the boy will have the Duchenne muscular dystrophy disease? The son will have 50 percent chances of having the disease as the mother carries the gene on the sex chromosome which is passed on to son and father passes Y chromosome which is unaffeced.
