Human immuno virus has become one of the greatest epidemics in the name of diseases. HIV further paves its path for AIDS. One of the earliest cases were found in the blood sample of a person from the republic of Congo. It has been believed that the virus had spread from chimpanzees to the human population a few years before 1931, as believed to at the time of “bush meat trading”. At the time when chimpanzees were being hunted, it was known that hunters would be coming in contact with the animal blood. One of the earliest cases of HIV was identified in Robert Rayford, in the year 1968, who had never received blood transfusions.

It has been established that the HIV virus is closely related to the SIV or the simian immunodeficiency virus that had been observed in wild apes present in the west Central African forests. Also, another strain of HIV-1 group O strain is known to be coming from SIVgor strains present in Cameroon. It has been presumed that the virus had been first transmitted from chimpanzees to humans of the sangha river. HIV2 has been known to be transmitted from mangabeys to humans from many wild sooty mangabey populations that were present in the wild African as well as the Ivory Coast and the sooty mangabeys of the Tai forest.
