We have given the dataset of 30 observations.
To create frequency distribution we need classes and frequency.
Here smallest observation is 746 and largest observation is 780.
We have to make five classes.
The classes will be 740-748, 748-756,.................and so on.
Now we have to find frequency of each class.
The frequency is the number of observations lies in the corresponding class.
The frequency distribution will be :
class | frequency |
740-748 | 3 |
748-756 | 3 |
756-764 | 9 |
764-772 | 12 |
772-780 | 3 |
total | 30 |
A cumulative frequency distribution is the sum of the class and all classes below it in a frequency distribution.
class | frequency | cumulative frequency |
740-748 | 3 | 3 |
748-756 | 3 | 6 |
756-764 | 9 | 15 |
764-772 | 12 | 27 |
772-780 | 3 | 30 |
total | 30 |
