From a point of view of crossing over number, amount of DNA transferred, and probability of coinheritance of donor genome genes, general transduction in E. coli by phage P1 resembles most closely:

Answer #1

Bacteria which carry the sex factors can configure with other bacteria and transfer the sex factor to them. E coli cells are clones of doner in which the F sex factor is integrated into the bacterial chromosome that is Hfr ( high frequency recombinant cell) cells. Crossing over is takes place during this replication.

Transformation is the process for horizontal gene transfer in which the exogenous genetic material is transferred to bacterium to another .

Hence last option is correct.
