The Project of Tata Consultancy Services in making the universal identification for 130 crores of Indians was a huge project that it did successfully. The project was done with the aid of the Government of the nation to make the photo identity card with address and date of birth for all citizens. They took the fingerprints and retina scan for every individual to issue them a card that is called AADHAR Card which is unique and has all details of the citizens for any government work where the identity has to be produced like while flying within the nation or for Voting purpose etc.
Based on PMBOK this project standardized the department of each of the activities based on the states and union territories of the nation. The aspect of PMBOK thus standardizes the work of every individual across the locations about what to do and how to get the data inputs from the workers that were employed by the government for such a huge project. So the aspect gives the business the knowledge and empowerment to develop the needful project structures which would make the project follow a pattern best suited for such a project and also standardize the processes. Hence it has standardized people and projects in a manner that gives the huge project of data collection and thus converting them into cards which is different for each individual based on the address, location, date of birth, photo ID, etc. The way this was implemented was done based on training that was conducted via video links across the nation along with the physical application of the gadgets which are to be used for fingerprint and retina scan for each person. All this with a time frame based collection methods well devised as per the population density made it a successful project.
