V = IR

=> R = V/I = 240V/7.10A = 33.8 ohms

Part A: V​​​​​new = V × (1-0.35) = 0.65 × V = 0.65 × 240 V = 156 V

R = 33.8 ohms

Current (I​​​​​​new) = V​​​​​new/R = 156 V / 33.8 ohms = 4.615 A

Part B: R​​​​​​new = (1-0.35) × 33.8 = 21.97 ohms

V = 240 V

I​​​​​​new = V/R​​​​​​new = 240 V / 21.97 ohms = 10.92 A
