Answer #1

In organic molecule angle drwaing, bomd with hydrogen is not shown. All organic molecule framework formed by Carbon, Hydrogen and some other hetroatom like nitrogen, oxygen and halogen atoms.

Carbon has four velency So Carbon form 4 bonds. To calculate number of hydrogen atoms. All bond formed by X, y and Z carbon must be analyzed

X carbon atom formed double bond with oxygen ,signle bond with oxygen of OCH3 and also single bond with carbon atom

Four velency of carbon atom is complete

So there ia no position to form bond with Hydrogen. So X =0

Y carbon atom form two sigma bond with Carbons and ome with oxygen atom of OH group. So there must be one Hydrogen atom to complete velency of Y carbon atom

So Y=1

Z carbon atom form double bond with another carbon and single bond with carbon of benzene ring. So there must be one hydrogen present to complete carbon velency

So Z=1

Answer is X=0,Y = 1,Z=1

So option D is
