Answer #1

Ans 13.

Devaluation of a currency happens when a country decides to lower its exchange rate in a fixed exchange rate , a country can take a decision to do devaluation only when it is a member of some fixed exchange rate policy

Depreciation on the other hand is the fall in the value of a currency in a floating exchange rate , it is not decided by the country Govt, but happense due to factors like demand and supply of currency in the market.

Therefore, the statement C that depreciation referes to a floating exchange and devaluation refers to a fixed exchange rate is correct.
