Do you think that predator/prey models will exhibit oscillatory behavior? This is a model that describes the interaction between predators and prey in any natural environment. Do you agree? Why or why not?

The explosive growth of the internet can be attributed to several positive feedback loops. The nature of positive feedback loops are they grow and grow, this is because as element A grows, element B grows. This makes them unable to obtain equilibrium as long as element A is being put into the system. In the example of the internet there are several positive feedback loops that have led to its explosive growth. The growth of the information is the easiest example; one person creates content, people create content about that content, and so on. Content can be everything from emails, to news, to websites. The example would be the creation of a website like google that allows for searching of content. This allows new levels of content sources to flourish and to specialize in different types of content. This is where ecommerce sites like Amazon, media cites like YouTube, and social media cites like Facebook have all grown from. All of these then create more and more content on their own platforms on the internet and see more growth, look at all of the Facebook games and side apps. In the end this is an endless cycle of growth that will never reach equilibrium because there will always be more content to be created.

Answer #1

Yes, in my opinion the above post depicts the true picture of internet growth model. As more and more number of people use internet, they create more and more content as per their interest, knowledge and understanding. This results in having plethora of sites and endless content on each site which has been created by the site developers and the users. This ultimately leads to growth and expansion of these sites and the content which provides popularity to them. This is an endless game which has no boundations and more number of content is created with each passing day. Hence there is no chance of having a balance or equilibrium achieved in content creation on the internet and the same is expected to grow leaps and bounds with coming days.

Essay 4 It is clear that we are currently in a period of deregulation. If you recall, regulation is the codified attempt to force businesses to behave in responsible ways. However, regulation is perceived as costly, and a hindrance to business effectiveness.
