Answer #1

According to Carl Woese, All living organisms can be categorized into 3 domains of life on the basis of 16S rRNA genes. The three domains are- Bacteria, Archaea and Eukarya ach arose separately from an ancestor. Domain Archaea and Eukarya emerged from a common archaeal-eukaryotic ancestor that itself emerged from a domain Bacteria. Therefe the phylogenetic tree appeared as-

In the phylogram of the question- A&B having a common relationship and ancestor just like the domain Archaea and Eukarya in the above diagram.

Therefore A & B represents- Archea and Eukarya. (Option-4 is correct)

In the phylogram C having a distant relationship from A and B, but they share a common ancestor just like the domain Bacteria.

Therefore C represents- Bacteria (Correct option -1)
