Please appreciate the work done by UPVOTING .. If have any query can ask me anytime .. Thank you .
Statement 1 is simply a First Law of Thermodynamics , where it states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed , but can be interchaengable subject to their form of energy . This stament is not 2nd law of thermodynamics . Now , We all know unlike energy , entropy is not conserved . It either increases or remains constant in any kind of process we have . Entropy is measure of disorder of the sysytem or we say a controlled volume space . Entropy is only conserved for only reversible process and not real process . Thus this statement is also not according to 2 nd law of thermodynamics . According to 2 nd law of thermodynamics , energy flow from higher temperature to lower temperature meanwhile doing some work . In this process , energy flow has a direction . Thus this statement is according to 2 law of thermodynamics . Thus this statement is Answer . Energy has magnitude , since its a scalar quantities , but this does not imply that it is according to 2 nd law of thermodynamics . |

Question 11 How can you apply the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics to your life? (1 point)* By applying energy into my surroundings to keep things organized O By keeping positive By staying in equilibrium O None of the above Question 12 When delta G is negative (1 point)* entropy is high and enthalpy low entropy low and enthalpy high when entropy is negative when entropy is zero
The second law of thermodynamics states that for any spontaneous process the entropy of the universe must increase. Example 5: Determine the direction of flow by writing the entropy balance for the 2nd law for the open system and once you have determined the flow direction use the 1st law of thermodynamics for an open system to determine direction and magnitude of specific work for steam flow through the insulated pipe in the figure below. The relevant data for state 1 and state 2 are provided in the table below. Neglect changes in kinetic and potential energies State...
