Answer #1

Answer) pdb and PDB are the non recombinant types

( Note those combination which are highest in frequency are generally the parental - non recombinant types.)

Answer2) D gene is present in the middle

EXPLANATION

If we compare the parental tpe that PDB and pdb with the recombinant type which are lowest in frequency and are known as double cross over( D CO ) PdB and pDb we can observe the difference is only in D gene thus concluding that gene D gene would be present in middle

Answer 3). P...........35cM.........D........6.52cM.....B

Distance between D and P = no. Of frequency with single cross over( where D and P are present in different set) + double cross over / total progeny x 100

414+ 417+21+23/ 2500 x 100 = 35 centiMorgan

Distance between D and B = no. Of frequency with single cross over ( where D and B are present in different set ) + double cross over / total progeny

59+60+21+23/2500 x100 = 6.52 centiMorgan

please help me!!! 5.) You have discovered mutants in two new gene mutants in Drosophila. One mutant, curl, has small, curly, nonfunctional wings. The other mutant, big, has enormous eyes. You decide to test if these two new genes are on chromosome #2, so you perform a three-gene linkage testcross using a gene that you know is on chromosome #2, trp, a mutant that cannot make its own tryptophan (and so must get it from its food). Answer all my questions please.. 9. (Problem 25, part 1) Groodies are useful (but fictional) haploid organisms that are pure genetic tools. A wild-type groody has a fat body, a long tail, and flagella. Mutant lines another (although they are so shy that we do not know how) and produce recombinants. A wiad-type groody mates with a thin-bodied groody lacking both tal and risgelia. Burton S. Guttman.) The genotypes of the groodies in the group of 9 is, and the...
